Artist Biographies
Alice Williams
Alice is a native of Boston who has been a professional painter for 40 years. Her paintings draw from her love of traveling, nature, and cultural diversify. Alice’s refined works reflect the harmonious intersections of humanity and nature. She and her husband have lived near Atlanta since 1980.
Cat Tesla
Cat draws her artistic inspiration from nature and from science: she holds an M.S. in Genetic Counseling and is a part-time faculty member at Emory University School of Medicine. A native of Missouri, Cat and her husband live on a lake near Atlanta and spend much of their time out of doors.
Mostafa Darehbaghi
Mostafa creates mixed media works using rhythmic patterns, familiar objects, and nature. He has recently added urban icons and symbols into his work. He earned degrees from the Visual Art School and Azad University in Iran and drew recognition at Columbia University. Mostafa and his artist wife, Shala, have lived in the Atlanta area for several years.
Ansley Wallace
Ansley Wallace, an Atlanta native, paints because of the enjoyment it brings to her life. Georgia waterscapes are the primary interest and focus of this University of Georgia graduate. Throughout her painting career, which began in high school, she has looked for opportunities to use vibrant color combinations to express the surrounding area in a unique and evocative way.
Jason Horton
Jason is an Atlanta native who has studied in Maine, Maryland, and New Mexico. He has spent five years working with oils and acrylics. Jason uses oil on silverleaf panel to create works that feature harmonious hallowed places dealing with contemplation and the spirit. His paintings reflect the ephemeral characteristics of light and darkness.
Sandra Selesnick
Sandra is a South African native who studied in London. She spent roughly 20 years as a professional potter before moving from painting pots to creating paintings. Sandra has evolved into a painter who uses oil on canvas to great rich works that feature dynamic contrasts and rich imagery. Her still lifes and cityscapes give objects and scenes a new vitality.
Shala Moghaddam
Shala uses dramatic brushwork, unique composition, and color to create paintings that reflect inner peace and simplicity. A native of Tehran, she is a graduate of the Culture and Literature School of Tehman. Shala resides in Atlanta with her artist husband, Mostafa.
