Corporate Profile
Today, Georgian Bank is the second-largest Atlanta-based bank. Our growth and path to success began in 2001, when Georgian Bank was chartered to serve the Powder Springs community. In 2003, a group of investors led by Gordon R. Teel contributed $50 million in new capital to Georgian Bank, an amount said to be more than double the previous record for a private placement at a Georgia-based financial institution.
With the new investment, the investors reshaped Georgian Bank with a new, well-balanced strategy, and new management and added to the existing talent base. From 2003 onward, Georgian Bank's focus has been to attend to and meet the needs of an important, yet underserved market-local entrepreneurs and locally owned businesses in the northern Atlanta metropolitan area and high-net-worth individuals. Georgian Bank serves businesses and individuals who are unable to get personal service from larger banks, and need more sophisticated products and services that smaller banks cannot provide. As of July 2009, Georgian Bank has more than $2 billion in assets.
Georgian Bank has full-service banking offices in Alpharetta, Buckhead, Cumberland, Gwinnett, and Powder Springs.
